2021 was the seventh year of the Tencent 99 Giving Day. Based on previous experience, the team found out that as the project got bigger and bigger, it became more challenging for them to organize a massive amount of files. Especially when collaborating with outsourcing companies or related organizations, the delivery process becomes very confusing. Most of the time, we needed to keep them updated on the newest visual specification separately. Therefore, this project aims to create a website that includes all the related files and visual specifications for the department. We also planned to publish the website to the public after the 99 Giving Day, we hoped to share our design concept and help other designers around the world to get inspiration.

Delivered high-fidelity prototypes via Sketch and work closely with dev teams for Q&A.

The importance of file management and time management
The development of this website brought a huge benefit to our team. We saved a lot of time and effort in finding the correct document. As the only designer responsible for updates, time management, and file management were very important to me. We were racing against time every day to ensure timely delivery on September 1st. Therefore, it was very important for me to organize the files and upload the newest ones on time to the right place.

After the dev team handed over the design, it was time for the designer to walk through the product and identify as many problems as possible. It allowed me to fix potential design problems in the earliest stages. I also found that the design walkthrough can help check if the design meets the requirements, especially for some design details. During the practice, I learned that being patient and detail-oriented is very important for designers.
